Aditya Birla Chemicals is inviting experienced professionals to join its environmental and sustainability operations team to strengthen Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems and regulatory compliance.

Section Head – Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)

Qualification:
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications from a recognized institute or university:

B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
B.E. / B.Tech in Environmental Engineering
M.Sc. in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering

Years of Experience:
8 to 12 years of relevant experience in handling ETP, STP, and ZLD systems within large-scale chemical or industrial manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will play a critical leadership role in managing and optimizing Zero Liquid Discharge operations. Key responsibilities include:

Leading the technical operations of ETP, STP, and ZLD systems, ensuring uninterrupted and compliant performance
Ensuring continuous compliance with CPCB and GPCB norms and maintaining regulatory adherence
Driving optimization of MEE and RO processes to improve water recovery, reduce TDS load, and enhance cost efficiency
Managing statutory reporting, hazardous waste handling, and compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
Planning and executing CAPEX initiatives related to environmental systems and utilities
Strengthening process control systems to improve operational stability and resilience
Building team capability through structured training, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinating with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth environmental operations

This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a deep understanding of sustainable industrial operations.
